PDD South Update - Thursday, Dec 17, 2009

The South is managing within its budget target for 2009-2010, albeit it is very tight. We are not making cross the board reductions. Our ability to manage our 2009-2010 budget is in large part due to agencies prior year's surpluses and underutilization as well as reductions in internal operating expenses. If these forecasted amounts do not fully materialize, we will have to take corrective action in the last quarter, likely in the administration funding area for those arrangements where we are funding in excess of the regional funding average. Again, at this point, we are projecting a balanced budget and coming within budget, thus no adjustments are required this year. We are still awaiting our budget targets for next year.
